In light of the recent hurricanes/storms (Fay, Gustav, Hanna & Ike), we have stepped up our efforts to provide assistance to Haiti and the Haitian people. These storms have devastated Haiti. The aftermath of this situation is pure desperation. Unlike Hurricane Katrina (New Orleans, LA 2005), Haiti was hit by 4 separate storms. This type of punishment on a Third World Country is absolutely devastating. The information we receive from the Media here in the United States is minimal. Although we do hear reports of some devastation, the real picture has not been shared. According to our sources in Haiti - there are literally hundreds of people known dead and thousands unaccounted for. The roads and bridges have been wiped out - making it almost impossible for some citizens to get the help they so desperately need. If a miracle doesn’t happen very soon, there will be widespread disease and malnutrition - amongst other health concerns. This is literally a “Life or Death” situation!
